Wulff scores twice as Lady Bears defeat Pearl River

Juana Wulff's scored her 4th and 5th goals of the season Friday afternoon as the Lady Bears edged the Pearl River Lady Wildcats 2-1.
 
The win moved the Lady Bears to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the MACCC's South Division. Pearl River dropped to 2-2-1.
 
At 12:37 of the match, Tori Dronet received the ball from a midfielder, turned and found Wulff inside. Wulff then cut a Pearl River player inside the 18 and put it back post to put the Lady Bears up 1-0.
 
The lead held until 46:14 when Pearl River got on the scoreboard to tie the score at 1-1.
 
The teams remained tied until 74:43 when Wulff brought the ball down on the left, turned inside and curled it around the opposing keeper's fingertips and into the goal for what proved to be the match winner.
 
Keeper Camila Cevallos had 11 saves for the Lady Bears.
 
The Lady Bears return to the pitch on April 20 when they travel to Ellisville to face 6th-ranked Jones. Kickoff of the South Division contest is scheduled for 5:00.
