Lady Bears play hard, but fall to Pearl River

Playing perhaps their best game of the season, the Lady Bears played their hearts out Saturday afternoon, but it was not quite enough as they dropped a 4-1 MACJC South Division contest to the visiting Pearl River Lady Wildcats.
 
The match was scored less through the first 48:24 minutes of the game when Pearl River scored to take a 1-0 lead. The Lady Bears knotted the game at 1-1 at the 53:09 mark when Madeline Beard took a rebound of her own missed shot and made good on her second chance.
 
Pearl River (6-6-1, 3-2-1) scored went up 2-1, on what proved to be the winning goal, at 58:55. They would go on to add two more goals on their way to the win.
 
The Lady Bears (1-11, 0-6) return to play on October 12 when they travel to Meridian Community College to face the Lady Eagles in a 5:00 South Division contest.
