Meridian takes 4-1 decision from Lady Bears

The Lady Bears dropped a 4-1 MACJC South Division contest to the visiting Meridian Lady Eagles Saturday afternoon in Summit.

The Lady Eagles (1-6-1, 1-3) scored all the goals they would need in the first half and led 3-0 at 1-the end of the first 45:00.

The Lady Bears (3-4, 1-3) avoided the shutout when Auset Gibbstook a pass from Lesley Walker & scored from close range at the 81:54 mark. The visitors then added their final goal at 86:58.

The Lady Bears return to action on September 19 when they travel to Lorman to take on the Alcorn JV squad. The game is set for a 4:00 start.
