Laurent's goal not enough as Lady Bears fall at East Cental

A first-half goal from Taylor Laurent was not enough for the Lady Bears as they dropped a 4-1 non-division decision to the East Central Lady Warriors Tuesday night in Decatur.
 
Laurent took a pass from Courtney Lewis and fired the ball into the goal from 30 yards out in the 9th minute to give the Lady Bears (2-7, 1-4 South) a 1-0 lead.
 
East Central (7-0) tied the game at 1-1 in the 14th minute on a goal by Cailee McLain. The hosts took a 2-1 halftime lead after Kenzie Jenkins' goal in the 25th minute. A pair of goals by East Central's Sierra Maness in the second half closed out the scoring.
 
The Lady Bears continue their road trip Friday as they take on Northwest Mississippi Community College for a 1:00 non-division game in Senatobia.
