Lady Bears drop season-opener to visiting East Central

A goal by Ashley Langham, in the 27^th minute, was all the East Central Lady Warriors would need as they defeated the home standing Southwest Lady Bears 3-0 Friday afternoon.

East Central (2-0) later added goals by Kenzie Jenkins and TaNissa McNair to complete the win.

Despite the loss, Lady Bears (0-1) head coach Bee Casey said her team "grew so much as a team, individually, tactically and technically. We didn't concede any goals in the second half and that showed us that we progressed greatly and that we learned. I'm super excited for the rest of the season."

The Lady Bears return to the field on Saturday, August 27, when they host Northwest Mississippi Community College in a 1:00 contest.
