Lady Bears fall hard at Meridian

The Lady Bears were defeated 8-1 at Meridian Saturday in an MACJC South Division soccer match. They return to action Wednesday when they host Jones County in a 2:00 match.
 
Goals by Taylor Hanes, Meme Huff and Haley Hegwood had Meridian up 3-0 at the end of the first half of the women's match Saturday. The Lady Bears got on the board when Jessica St. Pierre scored off a free kick at 50:00. Unfortunately for Southwest, the Lady Eagles added five more goals in the half to win going away.
