TUNICA — Playing at the same location where he started the regular season, Southwest Men's Golf's Daillon Kryzanowski entered this week's Gulf District Championship at Tunica National Golf and Tennis, confident.
And after battling against some less-than-ideal conditions due to weather, he finished the three-day event strong, shooting 8-over, good enough for a tie for 13
th place. Kryzanowski — the lone representative for Southwest in the tournament — qualified for the event individually for the second-consecutive year.
In Monday's opening round, Kryzanowski had a very strong showing, wrapping Day 1 at 1-over and staying within striking distance.
On Tuesday, he had three birdies on the front-9 but couldn't shake a couple of mistakes on the back-9 and sat at 4-over.
He followed that up with another solid day on Wednesday which included a birdie on the seventh, his third-consecutive for that hole.
Top-ranked Gulf Coast finished first in the event, followed by No. 7 Meridian in second and No. 12 Jones in third.
