Hoping to come away with another win over a ranked opponent, Southwest Tennis made the short drive north to Wesson on Friday, aiming to defeat No. 18 Co-Lin. And even though the Bears put forth a strong effort, they couldn't top the Wolves falling 7-0 on the women's side and 7-2 on the men's.
The match wins for the Bears came in individual play where No. 1 Mansur Khajimuradov won his singles match 6-3, 6-2. Also taking home a victory was singles No. 4 Juan Cifuentes who claimed a 6-3, 6-4 win.
The men now stand at 4-4 overall and 2-3 in MACCC play. The women are now 1-6 and 0-4 in MACCC play.
