Lady Bear Tennis gets multiple upset wins at Nationals

Southwest Women's Tennis at Nationals

Southwest Mississippi Women's Tennis went to the NJCAA Division II Women's Tennis Championship in Sumter, South Carolina from May 2^nd-May 6^th.

Kai Jenkins and Martina Troncoso opened up day one with two singles win after a long rain delay.

On day two the Lady Bears came away with multiple huge upset wins.

Paula Tornos got a singles win over No. 3 Jaedyn Martin from Wallace State.

Maddie Powell and Anna Comeaux grabbed a big doubles win over No. 8 Mesa Community College.

Paula Tornos and Martina Troncoso ended day two with a huge win over No. 8 doubles Neda Kocyte and Jescimiel Mabiongo from Coastal South.

Madelyn Powell and Anna Comeaux both made it to the semifinals of the singles consolation bracket.

Kayla Anderson and Kai Jenkins made it to the doubles consolation semifinals.

Overall, the Lady Bears finished 11^th at Nationals with 17 points to cap off a great season for Southwest Tennis.
