Big second half propels host Northwest to win over Lady Bears

Box Score Despite recording 19 total shots, including 12 on goal, the Lady Bears were able to find the back of the goal only once Saturday in Senatobia as they dropped a 6-1 decision to the host Northwest Lady Rangers.
 
The game was tight in the first half as the Lady Rangers put the only goal on the board at the 38:30 mark. The second half proved to be the Lady Bears' undoing, however, as their hosts scored five times to go on top 6-0.
 
The Lady Bears avoided the shutout at the 88:55 mark when freshman Cheyenne Higgs took the ball off the foot of a Lady Ranger and dribbled from near midfield. She then beat the backline and keeper and finished in the corner.
 
Lady Bears' keeper Kimora Wells had six saves on the day.
 
The Lady Bears return to action on August 28 when they travel to Ridgeland to face the Holmes Lady Bulldogs for a 2:00 contest.
