Lady Bears drop non-division decision at 19th-ranked Holmes

The Lady Bears dropped a 5-1 decision to the 19^th-ranked Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs Friday afternoon in Ridgeland.

Kendal Walsh scored twice to give in the first half to give the Lady Bulldogs (9-0) a 2-0 lead at the end of the first half.

The hosts then extended their lead to 4-0 before Lesley Walker dribbled into the box and chipped the ball over the Lady Bulldogs' keeper to pull the Lady Bears (4-5) to within 4-1 with just over 2:00 left in the game.

The Lady Bulldogs then added a final goal at 88:55 of the game.

The Lady Bears will return to action on October 6 when they visit the Jones County Lady Bobcats in Ellisville. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 5:00.
