Lady Bears fall to Gulf Coast

Despite their best efforts, the Southwest Lady Bears were defeated 2-0 in MACJC South Division soccer action Tuesday afternoon by the visiting Mississippi Gulf Coast Lady Bulldogs.
 
The Lady Bulldogs (3-1-1, 3-1 South) got all the offense they would need at 27:18 of the first half when Jess Shepherd scored the first of her two goals in the game. She added her second goal at 33:38 of the half.
 
Lady Bears' keeper Jennifer Solis saved 10 Gulf Coast shots on goal.
 
The Lady Bears (1-6, 0-4) return to action on Friday when they travel to Wesson to face Co-Lin. Game time is set for 5:00.
