Lady Bears fall at 7th-ranked Jones County

The Southwest Lady Bears fell to the 7th ranked Jones County Bobcats, 7-0, Tuesday night in Ellisville.
 
The loss dropped the Lady Bears to 2-7 on the season and 1-3 in the MACJC's South Division. Jones County remained undefeated at 8-0 and 4-0.
 
Ali Sullivan put Jones County on top 1-0 with a goal at 27:00 of the first. She then provided an assist for Lara Gunter at 30:00 as the hosts went into the half with a 2-0 lead. Jones County then added five more goals in the second half.
 
The Lady Bears return home Friday for their next match as they host the Lady Eagles of Meridian. Fans should note that the match will start at 4:00 rather than the usual 2:00 starting time.
 
The day will mark Youth Soccer Day. Youth players wearing their soccer uniforms will be admitted to the match at no charge.
