Ina Smith led the team with 12 digs. Kelis Parker followed with 10 digs of her own.

"It's a big deal. It's all about the players, they decided to say hey we're going to play and we're going to win at home. It's always nice to play in front of your fans. Thank you to our other athletic teams for being here and cheering us on, we always love that. It was special tonight. It's history if you will, we don't get a chance to play in many playoff matches, so it was nice to win at home," said Head Coach Chris Laird.

With the 3-1 win over East Central, the Bears punched their ticket to the next round of the Region 23 Playoffs where they will travel to Poplarville to take on the #2 seeded Pearl River Wildcats.
