Bear Volleyball traveled to Wesson, MS on Wednesday, September 2nd to play Co-Lin in a 3-1 win for the Bears.
On Tuesday, September 1st the Bears beat Louisiana Christian 3-2 in Wesson to improve to a 2-4 record before facing Co-Lin the very next day.
Against Louisiana Christian, Addie Raye Pennington led the way with 38 assists for the Bears. Lillian Daviss led with 22 kills, and Ina Smith had 17 digs.
The Bears opened up with two strong sets against Co-Lin to go up 2-0 with each set ending in a score of 25-15.
A close third set went the way of Co-Lin to make the score 2-1 in favor of Southwest.
Southwest bounced back in the fourth to close out a 3-1 victory with a 25-20 set four win.
Addie Raye Pennington had 28 assists in four sets against Co-Lin.
Ina Smith dominated and led the team with 15 kills.
Addie Raye Pennington also led the way with 9 digs followed closely by Ava Smith and Caroline East with 8 apiece.
The Bears improved their record to 3-4 with the victory over rival Co-Lin and will host Jones on Wednesday, September 9th.
