Southwest's Haley Eckert signs with William Carey University

Sophomore volleyball player and middle hitter Haley Eckert has signed with William Carey University to further her athletic and academic career.

Eckert accumulated 208 kills and 38 digs in 27 matches played during the 2025 season.

"I learned a lot of things at Southwest. A lot was how to be a better teammate and keep going when things might not be going your way all the time," Eckert said. "I chose William Carey because they have a really good volleyball program… and when I went and visited, it was a really good fit and I love the location."
