Bears drop South Division-opener to Co-Lin, 3-2, in double OT

The Bears suffered a heartbreaking loss at home Monday afternoon when they fell to visiting Co-Lin 3-2 in double overtime in an MACCC South Division contest.

The Bears took a 1-0 lead at 12:20 of the match when Tiago Ravagni hit a free kick to Nahuel Cruz who found the back of the net with a header.

Co-Lin tied the match at 1-1 at 14:14 and the teams took the same score into intermission.

Co-Lin took a 2-1 lead at 47:11. Then, at 52:49, Ravagni played the ball to Cruz down the center of the park. Cruz played the ball off his chest and finished back post to knot the score at 2-2.

The score remained tied the remainder of regulation and through the first overtime before Co-Lin got the winner at 102:51 of the match.

The Bears (1-3, 0-1) return to the pitch on April 16 when they host 18^th-ranked Pearl River. The match is scheduled for a 4:00 start.
