Bears fall to Meridian

After a close first half, the Meridian Eagles pulled away in the second half to defeat the host Bears 7-1 in MACJC South Division action Friday afternoon in Summit.

Meridian (3-2-1, 2-2) took a 1-0 lead at 18:36 of the match. The lead held for only a short time until Felipe Bogliolo took a pass from Marcelo Carias and found the back of the goal to tie the contest at 1-1 at the 19:18 mark.

Meridian then scored with only 0:16 on the clock to take a 2-1 lead into intermission.

The visitors extended their lead to 3-1 with a goal at 55:28 before pulling away to victory.

The Bears (0-6-1, 0-4) hit the road for their next game, traveling to Raymond to face Hinds September 17 at 7:00.
