"This was a good night, a good game to finish on (before the Christmas break)" said Lady Bears head coach Brent Harris. "A lot of people got some playing time (and) we were able to play against a zone and man (defense) and we got challenged and had to step it up after a slow start."

"It's a good game to go into the break," Harris continued. "Reluctantly, as a coach, I wish we could play some more, but that's just the way it is."

Harness led the Lady Bears to victory with 11 points in the game while Pittman was also in double figures with 10 points. The Lady Bears went 8-11 at the free throw line.

Aloyna Lewis led the Lady Jaguars' offense with 14 points. She and her teammates combined to make 10 of 18 free throws.

The Lady Bears now take time off for the Christmas and New Year's holidays before returning to action on January 5 with a 2:00 matchup at Baton Rouge Community College.
