Lady Bears' season closes with loss to East Central

The Lady Bears season came to an end Friday afternoon with a 3-1 loss to the visiting East Central Lady Warriors.
 
The Lady Bears finished the year with a 4-10 overall mark; they were 1-7 in the MACJC South Division. East Central ended the season 5-4-2; 3-4-1 in the North Division.
 
A goal by Ashley Langham at 10:39 of the first half put the Lady Warriors on top 1-0. The lead held up until Josselyn Hernandez found the back of the net with only 0:05 on the clock to send the teams into the break in a 1-1 tie. Laterika Borden provided the assist.
 
The score remained tied until the 65th minute when the Lady Warriors took the lead for good, at 2-1, on a goal by Carrington Payne. Langham's second goal, in the 78th minute gave the Lady Warriors their final margin of victory.
 
Lady Bears' keeper Jennifer Solis had 15 saves in goal.
