Lady Bears drop close one at Northwest

Box Score Two early goals by Lauren Snyder were too much for the Lady Bears to overcome as they dropped a tough 2-1 decision to Northwest Mississippi Friday afternoon in Senatobia.

Snyder's goals had Northwest (2-4-1) on top 2-0 after 15:04 of play. The Lady Bears (2-8) avoided the shutout when Nohemy Giraldo took a pass from
Taylor Laurent and walked to ball into the goal at 28:53 of the game.

Lady Bears head coach Bee Casey said her squad "Gave up two goals early and fought hard to maintain possession. (We) controlled the game, but just couldn't get the ball in the back of the net."

"We turn around and play again (Saturday, starting at 1:00, at Itawamba). We will rest (tonight) and come out on fire."
