Lady Bears fall at home to Pearl River

The visiting Pearl River Lady Wildcats picked up three second-half goals Wednesday afternoon to defeat the Lady Bears 3-0 in MACJC South Division soccer action.
 
Both teams had their chances to score in the first half, but were unable to do so. Pearl River (7-5, 6-4 South) finally broke the scoreless deadlock with the first of two Lacey Polderman goals at the 60:31mark. Polderman added her next goal at 83:31 and Jordan Ahlgren scored the final goal at 83:58.
 
Keeper Jennifer Solis saved 16 shots on goal for the Lady Bears (2-13, 1-7 South).
 
The Lady Bears make their final road trip of the season Saturday when they travel to Perkinston to face the Mississippi Gulf Coast Lady Bulldogs. Action is set to get underway at 4:00.
