The Bears took the defending North Champion Holmes Bulldogs to overtime Tuesday afternoon, but were unable to punch the ball into the goal as they dropped the non-division soccer match 1-0 in overtime. Hunter Warren scored the only goal of the game at 4:28 of the extra frame.
 
The loss dropped the Bears to 0-2-1 on the season while Holmes remained undefeated at 4-0.
 
Southwest begins South Division play Saturday when they travel to Perkinston to face the Gulf Coast Bulldogs. The match is set to get underway at 4:00.
