Southwest Men's Soccer takes down Hinds to pick up first conference win

Southwest Men's Soccer hosted Hinds on Friday, October 9^th in a 3-1 Bear victory.

After two ties in their last two matches against Holmes and Itawamba, the Bears were looking to turn those close games into wins.

And they did just that.

Elijah Davis opened up the scoring for the Bears in the 12^th minute on an assist from Chris Cobon.

Southwest went scoreless for another 55 minutes as Hinds tied the game at 1-1.

In the blink of an eye, the Bears were ahead 3-1 after back to back goals in the 67^th and 68^th minutes.

Jules Bertand scored on an assist from his fellow Frenchman Ilan Marin, and Daxus Arkin scored the final goal to go up 3-1 on an assist from Bertand himself.

The Bears walked away with a 3-1 victory over Hinds to improve to 1-4-2 in conference play.

Finally in the win column, the Bears (6-5-2, 1-4-2*conference) look to keep the momentum going taking on Gulf Coast on Tuesday, October 13^th in Perkinston.
