Southwest Men's Soccer catches fire on the road

Southwest Men's Soccer extends their win streak to three with wins over Mobile and Oxford of Emory.

After losing a tight 0-1 game to Jacksonville, Bear Soccer has won three straight road games.

On Wednesday, September 2nd Men's Soccer traveled to Mobile, AL to play the University of Mobile.

The Bears came away with a 4-1 victory over Mobile.

Ethan Jensen scored 2 goals in the match. Ilan Marin and Jules Bertrand each had 1 goal.

After a few days of rest, the Bears traveled to Birmingham, AL on Sunday, September 6th to take on Oxford of Emory.

Southwest would go on to win that match 5-3 to improve to 3-1 overall on the season.

Braiden Bonds led the way with 2 goals for the Bears. Ilan Marin, Ethan Jensen, and Brayan Pelayo each had 1 goal.

Tyler Daramy, Ethan Jensen, Theo Tayau, and Daxus Arkin each had an assist in the contest.

"We are excited to be 3-1. Especially since we are using this time to prepare for conference match ups and are still building chemistry," said Head Coach Zach Mills, "the guys are working hard, and they see it paying off. Our conference is one of the best in the nation, so we just need to keep focusing on our goals, which is primarily making playoffs."

The Bears (3-1) will host Northeast Alabama on Wednesday, September 9th for their first home game of the season.
