With 9:00 left in the half, Courterius Scott and Chidi Nwosu hit back to back three pointers to put the Bears up 22-16.

But it wasn't enough as a few missed shots later Southwest was faced with a 64-71 road loss to Co-Lin.

Cy Merrett led the Bears with 18 points. Following close behind were Courterius Scott and Leano Rolle with 17 and 16 points.

"I thought the momentum of the game really swung after Leano's technical foul. They went on a 30-10 run after that. They executed well on offense during that stretch and we struggled to score.
Missed some good looks," said Head Coach Corey Schmidt.

"I thought we executed really well in the first half and did what we needed to do. They came out in the second half and shot unbelievable to start, then we started having some defensive breakdowns. We have to be more focused regardless of the circumstances of the game. Have to do a better job settling down on runs," said Coach Schmidt.

The Bears (13-14, 7-4*conference) are back at home on Monday, February 23rd taking on Pearl River.
