Southwest Men's Soccer hosted Itawamba on Friday, October 2nd to cap off homecoming week.

The Bears found themselves scoreless after the first half and down 0-2 with only 30 minutes left in the game.

Around 63:00 on the clock, Marlon Huddleston stood near the opposing goal for a throw in opportunity.

As his teammates surrounded the goal, Huddleston threw it straight to Ethan Jensen and went to the air and headed the goal in for the Bears first score to make the score 1-2.

Only a few minutes later, Theo Tayau would find the equalizer.

With around 68:00 on the clock, Ethan Jensen found Theo Tayau on a breakaway and Theo shot and scored to quickly tie the game up at 2-2.

Neither team would manage to score again in the final 22 minutes leading to a 2-2 draw between the Bears and the Indians.

"It was weird being down 0-2 because we felt we were playing well. In the second half, the hard work and good play showed, and we were pumped to get the comeback," said Head Coach Zach Mills, "plus, in the last minute, we made them clear it off the line and we hit the post, so the team believes in themselves again, and we are thankful to break the bad luck streak. Looking for a win next week."

The Bears (5-5-1, 0-4-1*conference) will travel to Ridgeland on Tuesday, October 6th to play Holmes and look to get their first conference win.
