An inconsistent outing from the visiting Bears proved to be too much to overcome Friday as Southwest fell 9-1 to Hinds
"We were just not prepared," Southwest head coach Zach Mills said. "We got it in our heads about (certain) things and it got the better of us. We started off super slow and they scored three goals in five minutes."
The Bears (4-5-1, 1-3-1 MACCC) unfortunately had no answer for the hosts who caught fire early scoring five goals in the first 10:00 of play.
The unfortunate struggles continued for Southwest as Hinds added three additional first-half goals before the Bears got on the board with a goal from Ilan Marin in the 35
th minute on a beautiful 45-yard shot making it an 8-1 game.
The Eagles added one more goal in the second half making the score the eventual final.
Southwest returns home to host Holmes, Tuesday at 7 p.m.
