Carias' two goals not enough as Bears fall at Hinds

Three second-half goals were not enough for the Bears Tuesday night as they dropped a 4-3 decision in Raymond to the Hinds Eagles.

Hinds held a 3-0 lead at the end of the first 45:00 of play.

An unassisted goal from Marcelo Carias at the 54:30 mark pulled the Bears to within 3-1. They then made it 3-2 at 67:04 of the match when Nahuel Cruz found the back of the goal after taking a pass from Victor Gomez.

The score remained the same until 81:24 when Hinds scored what would prove to be the winning goal to go ahead 4-2.

Carias' second goal of the night, at 86:28, trimmed the Bears' deficit to the one-goal margin, but they would be unable to score again as Hinds (4-2-1) held on for the win.

The Bears (0-7-1) take a few days off before returning to play on September 27 when they take on Holmes in Ridgeland.
