Bears' win streak ends at seven

The Bears' winning streak came to a bitter end Tuesday afternoon at home as they fell to MACJC South Division foe Jones College, 2-1.

Assisted by Joaquin Bermejillo, Felipe Maderogave the Bears (7-1, 3-1) a 1-0 lead when he headed the ball into the goal at the 14:33 mark.

The lead held until the 80:48 mark when the Bobcats (6-1, 3-1) scored to knot the match at 1-1. They then scored what proved to be the game winner at 83:43 of the game.

"Adversity was sure to come at some point," said Bears head coach Alex Brown. "Believe it or not, I'm thankful for it. We will learn from our mistakes and come back much stronger. This gives us a chance for a fresh start. We have plenty more opportunities this season and we look forward to them; on to the next one."

The Bears look to get back into the win column Wednesday afternoon with a 4:30 match against Andrew College of Cuthbert, Georgia.
