Kyle Singleton's second grand slam in five days propelled the Bears to a 10-6 game-two win and doubleheader split Tuesday night with the host Louisiana College Wildcats JV squad in Pineville, LA. The Wildcats captured the opener 4-1.

The Bears trailed 2-0 after one inning of the nightcap. They made it 2-1 in the top of the second when
Tyler White reached base on a leadoff walk and later scored on an error.

Singleton singled to open the Bears' half of the fourth and scored following a wild pitch and two passed balls to tie the game at 2-2. The Wildcats then sent nine batters to the plate and scored four runs in the bottom of the frame to regain the lead, 6-2.

Thinking that turnabout is fair play, the Bears (9-22) sent nine batters to the plate in the top of the fifth and scored six runs to move ahead 8-2.
Michael Buck and Paco Bello both had an RBI single before Singleton stepped to the plate and sent a 1-0 pitch over the right field fence. Bello's hit was his second of the contest.

The Bears picked up what proved to be the final runs of the game in the top of the sixth when Buck singled and scored on
T Tez Cole's homer to leftfield, his third hit of the game.

Cody Miller picked up the win on the mound in relief, surrendering three hits and two walks while striking out one in 2.1 innings of work. Zach Dearman had three singles for the Bears while Reid Havard doubled.

A home run and three singles in the second inning resulted in a 3-0 lead for the Wildcats in the opener. They then made it 4-0 on a double and two singles in their half of the third.

The Bears' only run of the game came in the top of the seventh when Buck reached base on an error to lead off and scored two batter on White's base hit.

Ethan Campo took the loss on the mound, giving up four runs (three earned) on four hits and four walks in just over an inning. He struck out two batters. Cole had two singles in the game while Quartez Brown had a double.

With Wednesday's games being cancelled, the Bears will next take the field on Saturday when they host the Coahoma Tigers for a 2:00 MACJC doubleheader.
