HIGH SCHOOL: graduate of Parklane Academy…as a freshman at McComb High School, he was named 2nd Team All-State & led his team in stolen bases (13)…named All-Conference, All-State, All-MAIS Tournament in basketball as a sophomore & junior at Parklane…was team MVP & scored the most points in an MAIS basketball tournament game (32) as a junior…led Parklane with 26 steals as a junior…as a senior, was 1st Team All-State & All-Conference in basketball; set team batting record (.506), led the team in stolen bases (29), was MAIS Player of the Year, team MVP & All-Star game MVP
