"No win's easy in this league," said Bears head man Thomas Gray. "Pearl River is a very good ball team. I have a lot of respect for their coaching staff and their players. We're very fortunate to win this game."

"I thought that our guys played really well," Gray continued. "I thought they played really well together. We got some major contributions from Mike; he played extremely well in a game we needed him to. I'm really excited for the way Emanuel played coming off the bench. Our defensive effort, as a whole, I thought was really, really good."

Thompson and Parks, Jr., led the Bears to victory with 21 and 20 points, respectively. Sikes was also in double figures with 18 points. The Bears combined to hit 13 of 22 free throws.

Pearl River was led by Jamani Glover's 18 points. The visitors hit 10 of 14 free throws.
