Box Score

Behind
Rodrick Sikes' 34 points, the Bears won their third straight game with a 100-53 home decision over the Spring Hill College Badgers JV squad Tuesday night. The win moved the Bears to 4-2 on the season while Spring Hill fell to 1-3.

Sikes hit 12 of 15 field goals, including 8-10 from three point range, and was 2-3 from the free throw line in recording the most points of his juco career.

Sikes scored eight of the Bears' first 10 points of the game to give them a 10-9 lead with 16:54 left in the first half. After Thomas Ellis put the Badgers on top 11-10, the Bears went on a 13-0 run, capped by an old-fashioned three-point play from
Jeremy Harrell, to race out to a 23-11 lead with 11:18 on the clock.

With 3:37 on the clock,
Mike Parks, Jr., nailed a jumper to start the Bears on a 10-0 run, ending with Sikes' three-pointer, to leave the home team with a 44-22 lead at the end of the half.

It was more of the same for the Bears in the second half. They took their biggest lead of the night, 97-43, on a Harrell basket with 2:34 remaining and reached the century mark when
Bryce Baker drilled a three-pointer with 1:42 on the clock before going on to the 47-point victory.

Afterwards, Bears' head coach Thomas Gray said, "I thought our guys played well tonight. I thought our attention to detail on the defensive end was there for 40 minutes."

Gray also said he was "proud of the way our bench played tonight. I thought when our guys checked into the game, they were ready to play both physically and mentally. When we have that input from guys coming off the bench we will be able to really compete with any team we play."

Harrell went 7-9 from the field, and hit his only free throw, to score 15 points for the Bears. Parks, Jr., scored 12 points and Baker recorded 10.
Guy Johnson provided eight assists. As a team, the Bears went 7-11 at the free throw line.

Joseph Clayton led the Badgers with 14 points. He and his teammates went 5-6 from the free throw line.

The Bears stay at home for their next game as they host the Trojans of Mississippi Delta Thursday night at 7:15.
