Brookhaven's Drew Jones signs with Southwest baseball

Drew Jones, an outfielder for Brookhaven High School, has signed a scholarship to play for Southwest next season.

Jones (6’ 1”, 160) finished the 2012 season with a .551 batting average, helping the Panthers to a 24-6-1 record and a Region 6-5A title. He registered 19 doubles and four homers among his 54 hits and drove in 40 runs while stealing 17 bases. He was named the team’s Best Offensive Player and Overall MVP and was also a Scholastic Award winner.
