Foy inducted into Miss. Community College Sports Hall of Fame

The 6th annual Mississippi Community College Sports Hall of Fame induction banquet was held Tuesday night at the Muse Center on the Hinds Community College campus in Pear. Representing Southwest in the Class of 2012 is former basketball player Ernest W. Foy. Presenting him with his medal and plaque was Southwest president Dr. Steven Bishop.

Foy graduated from Osyka High School in 1955 and then attended Southwest where he played basketball under Coach Horace C. Holmes (later Southwest's president) and graduated in 1957. He was inducted into the Southwest Sports Hall of Fame in 1980. He has coached on the college and high school levels and is currently coaching at Amite School Center in Liberty.
