Jordan Skinner is in his first year as an assistant coach with the Bears Football team. Skinner brings over seven years of experience to Southwest. He will assist head coach Les George in coaching the offensive line.
Skinner was a member of the Pearl River Football team for a year before transferring to Gulf Coast where he graduated with an associate’s degree. He then moved on to Southern Miss where he graduated in July of 2022 with a degree in General Studies.
During his schooling Skinner also began his coaching career coaching at his alma mater, St. Stanislaus, spending two years as an offensive line assistant coach with the junior high team before moving up to the same position with the high school team.
Following his time in Bay St. Louis, he got his first collegiate job as an assistant offensive line coach at Co-Lin spending a year with the Wolves.
Skinner then moved on to the NAIA level working a year as a graduate assistant offensive line coach at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama. He graduated in August 2024 with a Masters in Business. Afterward Skinner spent a season as an assistant offensive line coach at Campbell University before making the move to Summit.
