Lamont Berzat is in his second season as Volunteer Assistant Coach with the Bear Men’s Basketball program.
He comes to Summit following a year as assistant coach at Otero Junior College in La Junta, CO.
Berzat, a New Orleans-native is a graduate of the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Public Health. While there he was a member of the Privateer Men’s Basketball team from 2017-2021, making the postseason in three of those years.
He then moved on to Mississippi College where he averaged 7 assists per game. He was a captain with the Choctaws an honor he also held while at UNO.
Berzat is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Sports Management.
