Lady Bears face Northwest on the road.

Southwest Mississippi Softball traveled to Senatobia on Friday, April 3rd to take on Northwest in a doubleheader and lost both games 4-6 and 3-11.

Allie Ladnier pitched all of game one. In 6.0 innings Ladnier had 5 strikeouts.

Corin Talbot and Bailey McLin led the team with 2 hits each. Allie Ladnier, Tristan Allen, and Jana Phillips each had 1 hit.

Tristan Allen's 1 hit was a homerun that put her at 14 on the season, continuing to add to the Southwest single season record.

Corin Talbot's 2 hits were both doubles as well.

Madalyn Ashford (x2) and Lauryn Roebuck stole bases in the contest.

Southwest lost game one 4-6.

In game two, Ballard Kraft started on the mound before Mary Claire Salley took over pitching duties.

Salley had 2 strikeouts in 5.1 innings pitched and took the loss for the Lady Bears.

Tye Boone also pitched 0.1 innings.

Alexis Dejean led the team with 2 hits and 2 RBIs.

Corin Talbot, Bailey McLin, Jana Phillips, and Madalyn Ashford each had a hit.

Alexis Dejean and Jana Phillips each had a double.

Hannah Adams stole a base in the game.

Southwest would go on to lose game two 3-11.

The Lady Bears (23-9, 10-6*conference) travel to Perkinston to play Mississippi Gulf Coast on Tuesday, April 7th.
