Bailey McLin recorded a hit in both games against Meridian and broke the Southwest Softball hit streak record.

McLin has recorded a hit in 19 straight games breaking a ten-year record as a freshman.

"The kids fought, they never quit, they never gave up. And that's the difference with this team. They hit the ball well, and they fight the entire time," said Head Coach Shea Johnson.

"Bailey is a special kid, and she's the true definition of a leadoff. She's going to get the base hit, she's going to have that .485 on base percentage… she swings it, she slaps, she can lay it down and bunt, she can do it all," said Coach Johnson when asked about Bailey McLin breaking the hit streak record, "it couldn't have happened to a better kid. I'm so proud for her. That record stood for ten years and I don't think she's through setting it."

The Lady Bears (17-4, 3-1*conference) travel to Goodman on Saturday, March 21st to take on Holmes.
