Box Score Despite an aggressive approach to Friday's conference home-opener against East Central, the Bears could not find the right formula to get its offense going, falling 4-0 to the Warriors.
"We had the worst game that we've had so far," Southwest head coach Zach Mills said. "We had no quality, we lost focus and did what we should not have done. I think that we can learn from this. The hope is that this is the worst game of the season."
The Bears (3-3-1, 0-1-1 MACCC) had opportunities to score in the first half, but couldn't capitalize as the Warriors scored twice in the first 45:00 of play, once in the 24
th minute and the other in the 41
st.
Even though they were down, the Bears continued to fight. The Warriors, unfortunately added to their lead in the 57
th minute making it a 3-0 deficit before adding their last goal in the 82
nd minute.
Southwest will be back in action on Tuesday visiting East Mississippi at 7 p.m.
