The long grind for many Southwest student athletes went from beyond the courts and fields, it also occurred in the classrooms and, recently, over seven-dozen were honored for their success with MACCC Conference All-Academic nods.

The honorees are recognized as either Distinguished Academic All-State with a 3.8 GPA or higher or Academic All-State with a 3.25-3.79 GPA.
