Powered by a pair of Jordan McNabb home runs and one from Scottie Metrejean, the Lady Bears swept a pair of games from host Baton Rouge Community College, 10-7 and 5-3 Monday night.

The Lady Bears (6-2) trailed game one 2-0 before a two-RBI base hit from Terrah Nelson helped them take a 3-2 lead in the top of the second inning.

Both teams scored a run in the third inning.  Metrejean's lead-off dinger, the first of her three hits in the game, left the Lady Bears with a 4-3 lead after the frame.

McNabb's two RBI double in the top of the fifth extended the Lady Bears' lead to 6-3. BRCC (2-16) regained the lead, 7-6, with a four-run sixth inning.

In the top of the seventh, the Lady Bears picked up a run on Nelson's double, her third hit of the game, a McNabb's two-run blast over the centerfield fence (her third hit of the game) to score the final runs of the game and claim the win.

Allie Hunt picked up the win in the circle in relief, giving up an unearned run on three hits, with one strikeout, in 0.2 innings. Jade Latham struck out all three batters she faced to record the save.

Tia Bussey and Madison Gower both had a pair of hits.

McNabb's second bomb of the day, a solo shot to centerfield, put the Lady Bears on top 1-0 in the first inning of the nightcap. BRCC answered with a single run in the bottom of the inning to tie the game at 1-1.

Singles from Madison Newman and McNabb in the top of the second left the Lady Bears with a 3-1 lead. The score went to 5-1 after the Lady Bears added a run in the fourth inning and one in the fifth.

BRCC scored what would be the final runs of the game with a pair in the bottom of the fifth. They brought the tying run to the plate in the seventh but the Lady Bears held on for the win.

Latham pitched 4.1 innings to pick up the win for the Lady Bears. She allowed a pair of runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three. Kalyn Chemin picked up the save, allowing a run on one hit and a walk in 2.2 innings. She struck out two batters.

Bussey and Makennah Redd both had two hits in the game while Ryleigh McManus had a double.

The Lady Bears are scheduled to return to the diamond Wednesday afternoon, beginning at 3:00, when they host the Mississippi Delta Lady Trojans.
