The Bears picked up a pair of much-needed wins Saturday afternoon as they swept the host Northeast Tigers, 7-5 and 11-6, in Booneville.Â
With the wins moved the Bears to 22-20 overall and 11-15 in the conference while the Tigers fell to 20-24 and 11-15.
 The Bears took a 1-0 lead in the first inning of game one when L.D. Coney led off with a walk, moved to third on Ross Buckley's double and then scored on a passed ball. With the double, Buckley set the team's career record (now at 26).
Steven Williams was hit by a pitch to open the Bears' second inning. He then scored on Dylan Spiers' two-out double to right field to give the Bears a 2-0 advantage.
 After the Tigers scored a run in the bottom of the third, the Bears added two more in the top of the fourth. Brady Anderson singled with one out, moved to third on a Zach Giacona base hit and scored on Spier's sacrifice bunt. Coney's hit allowed Giacona to reach the plate.
 With the score 4-2, Kaleb Clarke belted a two-out solo homer over the fence in left field to leave the Bears with a 5-2 lead.
 The Tigers picked up a solo run in their half of the fifth then used three singles and a walk to score two more runs in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game at 5-5.
 The Bears picked up what proved to be the winning runs in the top of seventh when Buckley reached on a lead-off single and later scored on an error. With two outs, Williams' base hit scored Jarvis Warner. Warner was on base in place of Clarke who had singled.
 Clarke picked up the win on the mound in relief, striking out two and giving up one hit in two innings of work.
 The Bears took a 2-0, first-inning lead in the finale. Buckley singled with one out, moved to third on a double by Clarke and scored on Williams' sacrifice fly. An error allowed Clarke to score.
 After seeing the Tigers get a run in the bottom of the first, the Bears answered with two of their own in the top of the second to increase their lead to 4-1. Anderson led off the frame with a walk, Spiers singled with one out and both scored on Coney's line-drive double to centerfield.
 Two singles, a fielder's choice and ground out resulted in a run for the Tigers in the bottom of the third, leaving the Bears with a 4-2 lead.
The Bears extended their lead to 7-2 in the top of the fourth. Anderson reached on an error and later scored from third with two outs when Coney reached first on a dropped third strike. Coney then scored on Buckley's homer to right field.
After the Tigers made it 7-3 in the bottom of the seventh, the Bears made it 9-3 in the top of the eighth. A Jesse Pittman single scored John Marcus McDowell(running for Walt Aldridge who had singled). Later in the inning, Anderson, on base via a single, scored on a steal of home.
In the bottom of the eighth, the Tigers used four singles, an error and a wild pitch to score a pair of runs and narrow the Bears' lead to 9-5.
But, the Bears answered again, getting RBI singles from Warner and Tanner Whittington to once again go up by six, 11-5. The Tigers scored a solo run in the bottom of the ninth, but could get no closer as the Bears got the win.
Darian Tunstall went six innings on the mound to get the win. He surrendered three runs, two earned, on five hits and two walks, while striking out four.
The Bears are scheduled to end the regular season Monday in Scooba when they face the East Mississippi Lions. Game one of the conference twinbill is set for 3:00.
