Glover Quin honored with Detroit Lions' Joe Schmidt Leadership Award

Former Southwest Bears football player Glover Quin, now a free safety for the Detroit Lions, was recently named the winner of the team's Joe Schmidt Leadership Award. Quin said he was honored to win the award " because it's voted on by your teammates, so that shows you what your teammates think of you."

Commenting on what it takes to be a leader, Quin said "I think a leader is good at relating to people, understanding what is needed at the time and being able to get that communicated. You have to also lead by example and you can't be afraid to stand on your own for something."
