Welcome Coach

Bo Wallace and Blake Frazier join Southwest Football staff

| By:
Bear Football welcomes new Co-offensive Coordinator Bo Wallace and new Defensive Coordinator Blake Frazier to its coaching staff prior to the 2026 season.

Bo Wallace, known for his time as the starting quarterback for Ole Miss from 2012-2014, is not a stranger to the MACCC. Wallace holds the NJCAA all time record for passing yards in a season with 4604 from his only season with East Mississippi in 2011. Wallace also led East Mississippi to an undefeated season and national championship win that year and was named NJCAA Player of the Year.

Bo started his coaching career at Marshall County High School in 2016 as quarterback coach. From there, Wallace returned to East Mississippi in 2017 as the team's quarterback coach. In 2020, Wallace spent time as co-offensive coordinator and quarterback coach for Pearl River before joining Holmes as the quarterback coach in 2021. Wallace joined the University School of Jackson as offensive coordinator and admissions assistant in 2023.

Now, in 2026, Bo Wallace will join the Southwest Mississippi Bears as co-offensive coordinator.

Blake Frazier is the second new addition to the Bear Football coaching staff for the 2026 season.

Frazier graduated from Southwest in 2000 and USM in 2002. He started his coaching career at Jones in 2001 coaching defensive line before coaching at West Alabama in 2002. In 2003, Blake became the head coach and defensive coordinator for Cottage Hill Christian High School. Following that, Frazier spent 7 years as defensive coordinator with Northwest Community College before going to East Central as the defensive coordinator for 5 years. Frazier was the linebacker coach at Magnolia Heights High School from 2017-2021 and also spent time working as a scout in the Canadian Football League. Coach Frazier coached at Olive Branch High School for two years before joining Midwestern State University Mustangs as the defensive coordinator in 2024.

Frazier spent the previous two seasons with the Mustangs before joining the Southwest coaching staff ahead of the 2026 season.

Bear Football looks towards the 2026 season with high hopes after adding two more pieces to a highly talented coaching staff.
