Bears shut out visiting East Central

Two goals from Tristen Nicholson and Vadim Drake helped propel the home standing Bears to a 5-0 win over the East Central Warriors Friday afternoon. The Bears climbed to 4-5-1 with the win while East Central dropped to 3-6-1.
 
Nicholson put the Bears up 1-0 at 16:30 of the match when he took a pass from Ignacio Cruz and scored from inside the box. Nicholson then provided the assist as Drake scored his first goal at 27:42 and had the Bears up 2-0 at the half.
 
Nicholson's second goal at 52:31, with Drake assisting, made the score 3-0. With Sean Spears assisting, Drake picked up his second goal at 61:19 to make the score 4-0.
 
The scoring came to an end at 88:56 when Brock Andrus scored his second goal of the season. Irving Aitken assisted.
 
Bears' keeper Bryant Boyington saved the only two East Central shots on goal.
 
The Bears hit the road for their next match, traveling to Senatobia on September 29 for a 4:00 non-division meeting at Northwest.
