Bears shutout host Meridian

Second-half goals by Morris Aitken and Tristen Nicholson propelled the Southwest Bears to a 2-0 MACJC South Division soccer victory over host Meridian Friday afternoon.
 
Aitken scored on a penalty kick while Nicholson received an assist from Tristan Garriga.
 
The win moved the Bears to 3-2-1 overall and 2-1 in the South while Meridian dropped to 1-5 and 0-3.
 
The Bears remain on the road for their next match as they travel to Poplarville on September 16 to face Pearl River. Action is set for a 7:00 start.
