Visiting Pearl River picks up 5-0 win over Bears

The Southwest Bears dropped a 5-0 MACJC South Division home soccer match to Pearl River Tuesday afternoon. The loss dropped the Bears to 1-5-1 overall and 1-1 in the South Division. Pearl River climbed to 3-1 and 2-0.
 
The teams were deadlocked in a 0-0 tie in the first half until Ray Wesson found the goal after taking a pass from Jake Polderman at 43:00. The Wildcats then added four more goals in the second half to complete the win.
 
Southwest hits the road for the first time in South Division play Saturday when they travel to Perkinston to face the Mississippi Gulf Coast Bulldogs. Action is set to get underway at 4:00.
