Two Meridian errors and a walk to Brie Harper provided additional assistance for the Lady Bears.

Meridian (3-32, 2-22) tied the game with four runs in the top of the second and one in the third. The Lady Bears (11-24, 7-17) then regained the lead with a pair of runs in their half of the third. With the bases loaded, Morgan Brown scored from third when Marissa Jenkins reached first on catcher's interference. A walk to Nette then allowed Lewis, on base with a single, to cross the plate.

Another wild inning, this one the top of the sixth, gave Meridian a 10-7 lead. The visitors had only two hits in the inning, but also benefited from two walks and three Southwest errors.

The Lady Bears picked up their final run in the bottom of the sixth when Harley Myers reached on an error to lead off the inning and later scored on Harper's single to centerfield.
